Suncrest College welcomes applications for the position of LINC Instructor (Stage 1) in the English Language Training Program. This is a Part-Time, term position from September 22, 2026 to May 20, 2027, in Tisdale, SK. Classes in this program will be delivered face-to-face, over 2 evenings (6:00pm to 9:00pm) per week.

The Opportunity:

The LINC Instructor is responsible for teaching English as a subsequent language to newcomers in the Suncrest College region using portfolio-based language assessment (PBLA) in the Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada program. The Instructor must exhibit an appreciation of, a sensitivity to, and respect for a diverse academic environment, inclusive of students of varying social, economic, cultural, ideological and ethnic backgrounds.

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • The minimum educational qualification for this position is a four-year university degree specializing in teaching English as a Subsequent Language, or a four-year University degree with a post-graduate Certificate in Teaching English as a Subsequent Language, or a four-year University degree and TESL Saskatchewan accreditation.
  • The minimum amount of practical, related experience required to perform the duties of this position is one year experience working with adult literacy and ESL programming or an equivalent combination.
  • Demonstrated experience working in a cross-cultural environment.
  • Satisfactory Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check
